Yes, I do!
I look for older craft/woodworking magazines and books. The cost at the thrift store is minimal but the payoff on ebay is very good and they are an item that doesn't take up much room in my cluttered house. I haven't researched old toys or collectibles well enough to sell them so I don't even look. A lot of people also sell clothes from thrift stores on ebay but I also don't know brand names well enough to sell those.

Not really, but Philip does watch for some toys (Star Wars, GI JOE, etc.) they resell pretty well on e-bay, sometimes. He's lost money on a few things though, so there's no guarantee.

I go to rummage sales, garage sales and buy from thrift stores, etc. and look for old jewely for resale. Sometimes I leave the piece as it is, sometimes I take it apart and make another piece of jewelry. I just found some nice jewelry on sale at Filene's Basement that I will resell. I will take a bracelet apart make 3 necklaces from the pieces.
The thing is I saw three people who came in together and although they did not speak english, I could tell that they were doing the same thing, but they had real money to spend. I only had a few dollars
Everything was marked deep down already, then 40% or 75% was taken off at the register. 2 wooden necklaces are by Kenneth Jay Lane.

I do this all the time, and that's where I get the money for my Travel fund, if I want to go to Europe in 2014 (my 10th wedding anniversary) I need to save somehow and with 5 kid's that's not easy!
Ebay has been good to me.

I do sometimes but mostly brandname clothing, they sell very well... I do on occassion go through my own stuff and see what I can sell, meaning household items, knick knacks, decor items, etc...
I bought a cell phone off ebay a while back for $100 when I got it I used it a bit and resold it on ebay as it wasn't what I was looking for, well I made $183.50 that's an $83.50 profit! I was amazed.

Wow, does anyone have any advice on how to start selling on e-bay? I wouldn't have a clue.

I shop at garage sales and thrift shops for steals............Mostly brand name like new clothing and nicer other items.............
Then I turn around and sell them in lots on Ebay...........Quite a bit I find Justin boots and baby/toddler clothes in excellent condition and buy them for pennies on the dollar and make at least a $20.00 profit on each one.
I love doing that kind of stuff.

I have bought stuff at thrift stores that I have used in craft projects to make and then resell. It's the best place to go for craft projects...for the price.
