    Smile My child tightwadder.....

Today, I took my 8 yr old to the %75 off sale at value village and gave her $2 to spend. She found a fisherprice cradle/diaper change table for $1.75!!!!!!! And 2 Ramona books and a little handmade quilt (it is obviously made by a child, but it is darling) for her new cradle and she still had 45 cents change left over!!!!

We took her purchases home and she washed her new cradle.....and then she said Mommy! It looks just like NEW!

I was sooooo proud of her!

Holly, that's great! if she keeps on like this she will be a " chip off the old block" and be a lifetime fruglalite, just like her Mum

Which will make life a whole lot easier, knowing the value of money from an early age

That is so great! She's already learning to make her dollars stretch. I was like that as a kid. I had so little but could make it last forever.
