Are you ready for this? $521!!!!!
I actually made.....$521.00 on my yard sale this weekend!!!!!!!!! It's unbelievable to me! I have been working sooooo hard for the last 4 days! I had a neighbor/friend come and help me on Friday and another friend help me today. I was so gratefull!
I'm not going to have a yard sale this coming weekend because it is supposed to rain but I will try again the next weekend.
I sold 3 sleeping bags for $70! They were the sub-zero sleeping bags like you use in Alaska! I also sold my Kerby Vacumn for more than I paid for it. It was just too heavy for me and even though it had good suction, if you can't move it from room to room, what good is it?
I still gave so much away but made good money.
I am so thrilled! We found a place that delivers food to our house (Maffia Mikes Pizza) so we ordered pizza and had a friend come over to celebrate tonight. This is the first time we have had pizzed delivered at our house in 7 years, lol! I told you I live really far out of town, lol.
Whew....I'm glad to take a break for a week but still have to bring so much back in the garage due to rain warnings but that's ok because it will be going back into a sale or to a charity.
Now remember, I have a 2 car attached garage on my house. I also have a 2 car garage which dh has been remodeling. A storage shed is attached to that garage and next to it is a huge garage (3 car capacity) with a 1 car garage door on it but seperated into to rooms and one is where all of my crafts were. All of these garages were full to capacity and beyond with mine and my MIL'S things and no room for a single car! I've emptied the garage attached to the house. All that is in there right now is a few things that Jesse has to go through and see if he wants and a few things I'm not ready to part with yet that were my oldest sons and my Christmas decorations. I've emptied, one quarter of the middle storage shed and I've emptied a lot of stuff out of the craft room.
Dh is almost done remodeling his garage and has started pulling tools out of the other garage. He wont be pulling it all out but will be sorting and letting me know what he will sell and what we will keep.
I've pulled several boxes of stuff out to sell on ebay but I'm researching it first and know if it is something that will definitely brings big bucks. I'm being selective and only holding on to stuff that will bring more that $50.00 or more for a lot.
So I have 3/4 of the shed and 1 2-car garage and 1/2 of the small craft room to empty and we will be done.
Dh says Jesse can't sell all of the rock and gem equipment and stones that his grandma willed to him till he is 21 which will be next year (kind of a respect thing) but we are working on him because Jesse does not want it anymore and it all takes up 1/4 of one garage and it's just stupid to weigh ourselves down with things that will never be used by us.
I have enough stuff here to have garage sales throughout the spring and summer so I think that's what I'll do. I've had good turnout and I've told the customers to watch for the tool sale so I've got them hooked!, lol!
Anyway. Last weeks money is already gone due to some bills, perscriptions, and, well, not being carefull so this weeks money will be more carefully gaurded. I've just got to save for the insurance co-pays.
So, if you've wondered where I was, well, I've been only a few feet from my computer but working like a dog to get rid of all of this stuff. I hope to someday be back daily to the Village but untill then, I'm praying for you all!

Thank you girls!
I wanted to add....remember the all the stuff my neighbor left behind? Well, I was able to use so much of it myself and I have put several things out for the sale, well, I've made about $50.00 off of those things already and I'm so glad because it gave me an even bigger variety of things for people to buy.
p.s. my only other yard sale was years and years ago and I made about $50.00 on it so this is pretty unreal for me to see so much coming in. Next time I will spend a little more on the newspaper ad and list some specific things that I now know people are looking for. I've learned so much from doing this sale and met some wonderful people including neighbors.
