Yahoo Groups has something similar called "Freecycle." There are groups for just about every city out there, and everyone advertises what they are looking to get rid of. I have seen maternity clothes, firewood, bicycles,...all sorts of stuff. I live next to a relatively wealthy neighborhood, so I signed up for their Freecycle on Yahoo, and sometimes I just roll my eyes at what they consider disposable!

Our area has a freecycle and swap shop radio program that people can list some to give away.

The only thing I don't like about Freecycle is that they allow postings of animals. Grr...
