    Default My Finds-and Brag:)

    Happy Easter Everyone,

I just wanted to share my shopping brags for this past week

I've been wanting a freestanding pantry since we moved to the Island but they are so costly plus we'd have to find someone to pick it up at wal-mart and deliver it to our house.

So last week I was browsing our local newgroup and someone had a pantry and chest of drawers for sale. I checked and OMG it was the same one I wanted at wal-mart. Now I really didnt need a dresser but heck for both pieces I bought them for 100$ cdn which is half of what just the pantry cost brand new at wal-mart!!! We found someone to pick them up and deliver for a well deserved 30.00 so I'm pretty proud of myself.

The pantry is a "pine" look. Its approx 72inches tall and the inside has a top fixed shelf(yea for hiding the cereal boxes now) The right side has six adjustable shelves and the left side is a tall space where I'm going to store my broom and swiffers. this will be going in my kitchen for my stockpiling

The dresser has four drawers and will be used for bathroom extras Both have handles that look like tree branches I'm so excited and can picture both fully loaded with food and bathroom stuff.

    Thanks again everyone

I've already starting filling it up. I decided not to store the brooms in there.
I'm posting some pics of what I've done so far. I need to specialize each shelf more before I go grocery shopping this weekend.

Above the pantry in baskets I have my current store of paper towels, 2 6-roll packages in each basket.

On the top shelf inside I have my cookbooks, mixing bowels and one lonely box of cereal. Also my Fiesta Pizza Pan

Next shelf on the left will hold dh's 2-liters of pop..I think for now at least. Middle left shelf has my baking sheets and pans. Bottom left shelf holds a Water bottle.

Top right shelf holds spices and season mixes. I need to organize this better for easier access.

The rest of the shelves are not permanant so I wont bother with them but the bottom right shelf will hold potatoes, onions and garlic. I need to find a better spot for the food proccesor.

Sorry for the fuzzy images. Each is clickable for a larger image
