We went out early and found a metal pedal fire truck for 5.00 (for grandkids) and 2 pair jeans, 5 shirts for dgs for 3.00. a HUGE grapevine type elk/deer....yard ornament type thing about 4 ft. high for 5.00. A cool old wooden barrel for 10.00, and a box of 12 old mason clasp top jars/with rubber rings! for 3.00.

At one I got 12 dinner and dessert forks for when company comes,a pizza slicer, one of those baskets that goes on stairs, a large tabletop dictionary, weightwatchers and another fat free cookbook, more with less cookbook all for $2.75.
At another I got a decorative carved wooden drawer I can use to hold potted herbs, a nice sweatshirt for my MIL & a lambswool angora sweater for me for $5.

My church had a sale yesterday. I got a 4-cup coffeemaker(still in the box), large grapevine wreath thing with flowers, Artic Zone lunch box, bag of books, box of plates, cups and bowls, and a large box full of small plastic freezer containers.
    All for $5.
Now I need to learn how to cook so I can freeze some things.

Today I went yard saling too!

Bread maker, am told it works (haven't tested it out yet, that'll have to wait til Monday) ~ $10.

    Television stand ~ $5

    Answering machine ~ Free (Freecycle)

I probably would've haggled better for the bread machine, but it was for a charity (The Nova Scotia Arthritis Society) so I settled on $10 (asking price was $15).

Also, as a reward to myself for being so good with my Pilates (5 days a week for the past four weeks!) I splurged and bought myself a good straigtening iron for my hair.
