I got a bargain today!
Our family went garage saleing today and we got a great bargain! We found a 12x10 Colorado sun shade canopy for only $10.00! We already have the exact same one and spent over 300 for it last year... I can't believe this one was soooo cheap! And, we found my DS a great Huffy bike for only $4.00 He was riding my DD Little Mermaid cast off and it was getting too small. Now he has a Big Boy bike.
What other great buys has anyone found?

Today I picked up 3 boxes of books from someone on the freecycle site. We don't have a car so me and the kids biked over with the bike trailer to pick them up. We bike in the back alleys because the twins don't always pay attention so it's safer. We saw a lady putting out her garbage, she was throwing out a handmade wood caddy and 4 impatien plants. I asked if we could have them and she said to go ahead. I planted the impatiens in the garden and I think I'll paint the caddy and fill it with something???? for a xmas present. Last weekI got a barbie with 2 baby barbies, still in the box for $1.

I was yard saling my bum off this summer. So far I got:
~ a blender ($10 -- a bit pricy but it was practically new and I really wanted one)
~ a picnic basket ($1)
~ several records of 60s/70s rock (ranging from $0.25 to $0.50 a piece)
~ a new purse ($3)
~ a fan ($6 -- who sells a perfectly functional fan in the summer?!!! Oh well, more for me!)
~ hangers ($0.35)
~ a beautiful little wallet set -- came with keychain, notebook and wallet, never used ($0.75)
~ a pair of sexy high heeled boots ($2, sure they're worth $40 brand new)
~ a yoga matt to do my Pilates ($1)
~ a copy of "The Complete Tightwad Gazette" ($2 -- I had to buy this. I have a copy already but I just had to buy it)
~ a cordless phone and caller ID ($2, needs a power cord)
Still on the lookout for a record player. If you're interested in frugal living, minimalism and and

Great! It seems like bargains galore lately!
My son LOVES the bike.. he has even been riding it in our garage today because it won't stop raining. THAT is money worth spending.
