    Default What a haul!

Went yard-saling with the DH this morning, we only go maybe 4 times a year but am I ever thrilled with today's results!

I spotted a 2.5 quart covered casserole by Visions Corningware. I asked the price and the woman said "3 dollars", before I can reply she adds "3 dollars for the set" Well, there was the large casserole and two pots with lids on the table, so I told her I'd take it. She says "Great! Let me run inside and get the rest of the set" She returns with 2 more covered casseroles, one more pot with a lid and a new (nice) teflon omellette pan! So for 3 dollars I ended up with a six piece (plus all 6 lids) matching set of cookware! All in perfect condition She said the matching skillet was missing so she was giving the omelette pan "to make up for losing the other skillet"

It gets better. She gave me a full-sized summerweight cotton blanket (also new looking) to wrap all my cookware in! All for 3 dollars.

My DH scored a large nice recliner and a three-shelf brand new cabinet for 13 dollars!! The woman was a newlywed (mid-30s) who was selling wedding gifts that she "didn't like" She had used one pot from the cookware set one time only but "didn't like the color" (the set is plum, but for 3 bucks who cares?) The recliner "didn't really go with her living room" and she "just didn't
like the white cabinet or the knob on the cabinet door" (plain white knob)

We are beyond thrilled with our 16 dollar "splurge"

Found this on eBay. This is an identical piece to the set I bought this morning. Seems the color is "Cranberry" not plum, anyway I just love it!

You got some great bargains! I sold my Cranberry Visions corning wear for quite a good price on ebay. They are collectors items now so hang on to them!
