    Default I hit the motherload, all you can stuff in a bag for $2 at the thrift store!

    I spent $16, got a whole new fall and winter wardrobe and bought my friend who works in a prof. environment about 20 pieces too. It was a BLAST!. I've never ever had so much fun. I've already washed and put away all my clothes but I have to tell ya some of the stuff I got:

    ~fully lined, 100% wool 2 piece suit in a brown color/friend, brand is Chaus (it's beautiful)
    ~Lands End 100% cashmere sweater/burgundy/me
    ~Eddie Bauer jeans/me
    ~Eddie Bauer blue thermal top/me
    ~Old Navy denimn shirt/me
    ~Eddie Bauer denimn shirt/me
    ~Coldwater Creek dress/new/me---really nice
    ~no name tag, long, evening wear dress in a slinky material (I'll wear on our cruise, have a great shawl to go with already)
    There's lots and lots more but since I've already washed and put them away...

    My friend was thrilled to pieces and she paid me enough for her stuff to pay for mine (I told her up front what I had paid). I'm gonna wear some of my jeans tonight when we go out to eat with friends.

    ~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

    I'm curious - did you know the thrift store was having a bag sale or did you just happen to go on the lucky day??

    there is only one around here that sends me a card to let me know beforehand....

    No, I just walked in and noticed a lot more people than usual were in the store......finally looked around long enough to see the handwritten sign (on notebook paper) that said $2 bag sale today. I really had to rush too b/c Gripey only gave me 30 minutes to dig while he was in WalmartI might have spent $50 otherwise.....
