Went "shopping" at the inlaw's house!
My inlaws have bought a new home and are downsizing. They gave us some goodies and, after they had an estate sale, we got to go over and choose some other things before the auctioneer came to buy what he wanted. I got great stuff! Let me see if I can remember everything we have gotten:
Atntique table, chairs and sideboard--there was a bit of a catch here. They were going to sell these but DH wanted them badly because they were his great grandmother's. So, instead of selling them to us, they took our hutch, table and chairs, sold them and gave us these!
2 sets of Depression glass--like I needed MORE of this stuff, but I love. love, love Depression glass. One set is six wine glasses, the other six tall ice cream-style dishes.
a HUGE Belgian Oriental rug--light blue and beige
coffee table--it doesn't exactly match our furniture, but it's waaay better than our old $8.00 one that I got at a garage sale seven years ago. DSs are taking the old one upstairs. Hey, they can't hurt the old thing!
a box of antique valentines
a copy of a vintage 1957 Chevy sign
a signed print of the first Stadard Oil service station opening in Portland, OR in 1937 (FIL owned Chevron stations for nearly forty years)
two books about WWII
A stainless steel carving knife and steak knives
towels
a BUNCH of Tupperware that i am going to share with Dsis
DSs snagged some Christmas decorations and a big set of poker chips
a fly swatter (yes, I needed a new one!)
two bags of vintage linens
a Work Mate for DH
an edger
a weed eater
a nice water hose
a new wheel barrow
a leaf blower
wood for our stove
a recliner (we have yet to get it over here, but it is coming soon)
Probably a few other things, but that's all I can think of right now.
What did this cost us? We spent a thirteen hour day last month helping them move. I think we got GREAT pay! No taxes, either! Thanks MIL and FIL!!!

My FIL brought the things that were in their garage over yesterday. I came home to my car port filled with goodies. Santa came early!
