Default Goodwill trip, I had so much fun

Well I woke up early and went to Goodwill. I was looking for a crockpot, but couldn't find one...that's o.k. I found lots more stuff.

5 cardigan sweaters in different colors, one was really new and another was angora...really nice 2 of them were 1/2 price at $3.49

    2 white tops for work

3 pairs of kaki pants for work

one pair of camping pants with the zipper legs, to convert to shorts

2 nice heavy sweatshirts for my hubby

    1 pair of levis jeans

2 thermal tops one for him and 1 for me

    a small corningware casserole dish

a parmesan cheese shaker (hubby wanted one)

and a lunch cooler for hubby

I payed a grand total of $65.00, I can't believe all the work clothes...I really needed these. I had so much fun, I got there when it opened and there was nobody in there...I could look and dig threw stuff.
If I would have gone someplace like target I probably would have come out with 2-3 for that price. I hadn't been to the thriftstore since before Halloween, I won't need anything for a while...but that was really fun.

Good job! I like to go and dig through stuff too, only I have to go when my husband is off and he can take care of my daughter. Oh, the one good thing is that he is the manager at the Goodwill store I go to-- and i can't shop when he is on duty

Wow, I wish our Goodwill were that good. When I lived in a city, thrift stores were great, but here in this small town I find NO clothes I like, which is strange because this is a college town. I guess all the students sell their clothes to Plato's Closet, which I usually do too.

Generally Plato's only buys very gently used name brand clothing. It's difficult to find clothing by that description at thrift stores, but I can see how your plan would work if you were able to.

I went to Plato's Closet for the first time yesterday. Only went in for a few minutes, as I had to get home. I had the same question. Do they pay well, and what are their general policies on what they accept.

You got some good deals. Can you imagine what all that stuff would cost if you paid original price?
