    Default antique chairs

I bought three antique chairs from a cheapcycler today. One was painted black and has gold trim. I was told it was from 1850. There is a water ring in the seat. Does anyone know how to remove it?

Is it a wood seat? If so is it under the finish? Try alittle mayo on a part of the spot. Rub it in and let it sit for an hour, then wipe it off. See if it helps any.

I've also read before to use toothpaste to rub the spot and then buff with lemon oil. Good luck. You might have to repaint the seat if it is wooden... ?

sorry I just saw this... It is a plank chair from about 1860. It is painted black with a orange?gold? stripe painted around the seat and the back of the chair. The water mark is on the seat. I will gets pics when I can :-)
