Dh and I have been married almost 35 years and when we were very young, we had very little money and 3 kids under 5. We needed food for the table and money to pay the bills, and so I sold an antique dish set that belonged to my great grannie that she had brought over from England as a young bride. I've regretted it every since.
Have you ever sold something you've regretted selling, no matter what purpose it was for?
I was quite a collector prior to marrying. We also hit hard times and I sold almost everything on ebay and at the flea market for peanuts. I didn't sell anything that had too much sentiment, but I did get rid of some beautiful items that I know I won't ever replace. I can't say I completely regret it because we needed the money desperately, but it is sometimes sad to think about.

Same thing here, years ago things were tough and we sold my DH's electric guitar...he loved that guitar and loves to play and everytime I think about it it makes me sad. He still has an acoustic guitar but the other one was real special...someday I hope to surprise him with one!!
This may sound silly, but i really regret selling my George Forman Grill. It was the middle of the summer and we were grilling outside. I just thought 'why would i need this when I can grill outside' ? Big mistake. Everytime I make hamburgers in the winter I miss it.

I regret selling my piano. It was the one I learned on. We were moving to England and were told the homes were so small. My piano would have fit in the house. I have since bought a piano that was very similar, but it's not the same.
I sold the furniture that I had with my exhusband. It was all antique and really beautiful but I was young and dumb and spiteful and did not want anything that reminded me of the big Ex so I sold it all. I wish I had have been smarter back then.
