In the Rhode Island/Mass. area? Interested in a book sale?
http://www.norfolkbooksale.com/
I just found this online and thought that some people here might be interested in it. All of the books that my kids have are from sales like these. I have found that the thrift stores in the area still charge $3.-$4. for used children's books.
There's a "donation fee" for the Friday night but on that Saturday it's free "admission". I really am amazed at some of the deals that can be found in places or at events like these. They're great for those "just thinking of you" gifts.
Also, I've found, there are quite a few first editions that make it to these places-- those make wonderful gifts during the holidays (I just hoard them away until then).
