We were on our way home from a walk when we hit a garage sale as they were just setting up. I went home for cash and drove the car back so we could haul our treasures home. We spent $46.

An airless paint sprayer ($20). A new one would run about $50.
A drill vise ($1). They run about $20.
Miscellaneous hardware, pvc, metal posts, wire fencing.
A lot of ribbon -- mostly cloth ribbon. Maybe 30 partial spools worth.
    Two pieces of silicon bakeware.
    A silver-colored tray.
    Some scrapbooking supplies.
    A few metal puzzles.
A CD tower for DD's room.

For the first time in ages I actually made some purchases and not just went window shopping. A few of our finds were:

$2 each for...New baseball jerseys (Fresno State, University of Miami, and Boston College).

$2 each for...New basketball jersey and basketball shorts (North Carolina Panthers).

$0.50 for a New York Yankees jersey...DS's favorite team.

$3 for a very unique set of wooden shelves to hang in DS's room.

$3 each for four Polo shirts for DH to wear to work (business casual dress code).

    $3 for a CD/DVD tower for DD's bedroom.

$3 for a DVD player for DD's room. She has the only tv in the house without one.

$5 for seven books (She bought 4 of them for a dollar at one place and 3 of them for $4 at another).

$0.50 for a New York Mets trucker hat. DS's only purchase, but he really wanted this, it is so ugly though.

For $1.85 we got 5 tupperware bowls w/lids and two flat bed sheets (we use these in our rabbit cage. He likes to sleep on sheets.)

Then we found a "$1 for whatever you can fit in the bag" sale. We got 2 Christmas decorative pot holders (new), 2 angel Christmas tree ornaments, Santa hat, two Sonic the Hedgehog toys, snowman ornament and a couple of other things I cannot remember.

    DS (16)
    DH (Knocking on 40's door)

I saw a couple of garage sales but was busy and didn't hit any. I did however at the end of the day hit a thrift store. For $12 I got:

    ~2 shirts for me
~1 pair of shorts for me
~a small crock pot, no lid, 1 temperature (was 1.91 but a great size for things like dips, etc.)
~a really cute, hot pink small bag to carry my weight watchers stuff to meetings in That's it but I had fun.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*

It was at the end of the day and I had to run to the store. On my way home someone was closeing up their yard sale. I got a tabel with three matching chairs for free! She told me to take anything I wanted but I didnt want to look greedy so I just took that.

    Saturday (yesterday) I found:

    2 Abercrombie & Fitch t-shirt $2 for both
    1 Rue 21 t-shirt $1
    1 American Eagle t-shirt $1
1 resin snowman votive holder display $1, it's pretty big too!
1 pair of Disney Store mens boxers for $1

I actually got all this from 1 yard sale and paid only $5 not $6, so that was great.

We're heading to the flea markets today to see what we can get cheap
