I got a few bargains yesterday too.
I bought DH(4) a pair of pants for 50cents, then our Salvation Army Thrift store was having an anniversary sale and everything in the store was 50 % off. I bought him 3 more pairs of pants for only 6.00. He really needed them.. he keeps getting holes in the knees and I refuse to pay full price anymore!
I wish I would have had more time to look for the rest of the family.
I also found a book my book club is reading for 50 cents and a box of a dozen glass Christmas bulbs from the 50's/60's for 1.00 ..with NONE broken.
My DD found a few books for 25 cents each.
I love garage sale season!
ANybody else find any good bargains?

mc philps,
Does the xmas ornaments come in their original box and if their in relly good condition, u can sell them on Ebay for a really good price. Just check the prices of what people want and the pics of the old ornments, its a must have for certain collectors.

Wow! The ornaments did come in their original box, but I'm not sure how old they are. I have a few that are older from my mother and grandmother, and these ornaments look similar. That's what made me want to buy them. I'm not sure if I want to sell them, but I will definatley check into their real value!
It makes up for the other items I though we deals that day. One pair of pants for DS had a crayon in the pocket that I missed when I washed and of course it melted all over the pants and my dryer. Another pair that said 4t that I got at the salvation army were soooooo short, they would have to be a 3t or INCREDIBLY shrunk. They'll be remarked and are going in my garage sale.
Thanks!

I sooooo belong here! I love garage sales. I get almost a euphoric feeling this time of year when ever I leave the house on a sunny weekend day!
I just got a set of Tupperware fridge containers (like new) for $5.00! This is over $50.00 worth of Tupperware! I got the kids' sandals and swimsuits that day too at the used store 1/2 off! I'm a ruthless bargain hunter.-I also love to brag to people who care to hear!

me too, lulla bell. love to tell them My great deals. Some of my friends dont buy clothes second hand and wont go to yard sales unless they know the person. That doesnt bother me. I tell them, they can pick up anything contagious from clean stores too by the last person trying on the clothes maybe 2 hours before. true lol
I love the feeling i get of knowing i got a bargain for something less and almost brand new.
