Thumbs up Major score on tons of kitchen stuff!

Currently we are using my roommate's kitchen stuff, and she's leaving soon which leaves me with almost nothing. I mentioned this to my friends in case they had anything they wanted to get rid of, and a friend of a friend who just finished his Ph.D., got married, and is moving for a job offered me his entire kitchen! This is what he gave me:

    2 frying pans
    3 sauce pans
    2 big pots
    9" x 13" glass casserole dish
    8" x 8" glass casserole dish
    Full set of knives
    Cookie sheet
    Blender
    Stand mixer
    2 cake pans
    Cake carrier
Set of 3 purple (pretty!) Pyrex mixing bowls
    Tons of silverware
    2 cutting boards
    Cooking utensils
    Measuring cups
4 wine glasses--now 3 because with so many dishes drying on my counter, one toppled and shattered
    10 small drinking glasses
    11 big drinking glasses
    Cork screw
    Can opener
    Vegetable peeler
    Garlic press
    Serving dish
    4 plastic bowls
    Oven mitts

He even gave me some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, kosher salt, baking powder, spices, cocoa, and two tins of Ghirardelli chocolate!

This was so nice of him, though he says I did him a favor by taking it off his hands.

WOOHOO! That was very nice of him to give it to you. I guess it pays to put the word out that you are looking for something.

It was indeed very nice of him! I definitely learned the lesson that putting out word about what you need can get you very far. You never know who's looking to get rid of something!

I think he's out of town pretty quickly. Maybe I should bake him something!
