Any Saturday Sales deals today?

This morning I went to a Community yard sale and did pretty good. I got my youngest nice Arizona jeans shorts in size 6 slim, anyone with a skinny butt kid can tell you how hard it is to find slims anymore! Those were $1. Got some 'board shorts' (skateboard) for my oldest son 2 prs for 25c/each. Got each boy two sets of Disney PJs for $1 each set. Picked up some books for 10c each (10 books), a tank top for dd for 50c. Also found the old fashioned wooden salt & pepper grinder set for $3.

Also got three pairs of enamel chopsticks for $3, a grocery bag full of yarn for $1. I also, finally finally finally, found a solid wood - not too tall, not too wide - bookcase for my kids' books for $10.

Then dh & I went to an estate auction. He was in search of some toys to resell. He made a steal on some old Hot Wheels, Tinker Toys, & Lincoln Logs. Then I hit the motherload on knitting stuff. TONS of knitting needles, dpns & circulars, knitting notions, yarn, two baskets, a plastic tote, and a few patterns. Got all that for $6. Then I bid on a picture of Victorian girls in what looks like a knitting class/group & got that for $7. They had a desk that I wanted for the boys' room, but dh had to get back to work. Wow Heather, you did really well. Wish the yard sales and estate sales would pick up down here. They seem to be pretty slow lately which is really odd. Usually we have pretty good ones almost all year long. We only found one worth stopping at and all we bought was a Pooh Christmas flag for the front porch ($1).

We did take DS to Plato's Closet and he got 5 shirts and a ball cap. My favorite one he bought says "Your girlfriend is my biggest fan". He is such a laid back and quiet kid, that one made me laugh when he put it on. It is the complete opposite of his personality.
