My mom got me the cutest cookie jar!
I had mentioned to my mom I did not have a cookie jar, so would make a nice Xmas gift, hint hint, something to put cookies in when my grandson comes over. We frequent alot of antique/flea market type places and I wanted something unique, antiquey, "whimsical"....not just something from Walmart ( not a cookie-cutter cookie jar...pardon the pun)
. Anyway, I figured I was just giving a suggestion for an inexpensive Xmas gift, and we met for lunch today at work. She got me 2 actually. One from a little antique place, shaped like a lighthouse with a cute cover , only $3. Then she went to a church yard sale, and got me a 2nd kitty one for 50 cents. She figured if I did not like them, she was not out much $. But they are perfect. I can always put crackers in the kitty shaped one too. The Lighthouse one is what I was looking for, I live near the coast here in Maine, and it is good sized too! Anyway, really perked up my day! Now I gotta go bake some cookies to fill it.

That was so thoughtful and how fun to get a gift just because rather than a special occasion. I love that your mom found such great deals and just what you wanted.
