Free Giveaway and Church Rummage Sale Finds
Here's what roommate and I found today:
At free giveaway 'sale' listed on our local freecycle
*a diaper genie type thing - 2 neighbors are pregnant and I'm sure could use.
*a two-tiered end table - excellent shape for age (at least 15 years old based on style of table
*Bon Appetite, Cooking Light magazine, Italian cooking magazines - will keep what recipes I like (type them into computer) and freecycle them
*a bunch of clothes from children to adult - someone will eventually fit into them.
*a 2-qt pitcher - no top but what the heck for free
At a church rummage sale:
Had $1 per grocery bag - roommate filled 3 bags with stuff like a potpourri burner, a couple of candles, stove burner covers, 2 ceramic canisters, a skillet (a little more used than what I like to use), 4 plastic dinner plates and drinking glasses for their camper, several plastic beverage keepers, travel mugs and thermos, plastic sun tea pitcher, an alarm clock for camper, an ashtray for camper, a small throw rug, a Marlboro windbreaker jacket, a wet suit (her BF picked this out!?), a lazy susan, a 1000 piece puzzle, a few articles of clothing, almost brand new pair of sketchers shoes, a pair of black dress sandals, a pair of slippers.
I can't forget the plate of red velvet cupcakes her BF bought for 16 cents. So all together it was $3.16.
Now she just has to put everything away rather than on the living room floor where it is now.
I was a good girl, I resisted all temptation except the church was giving away their old hymal books and I took one of them. I just love old-time gospel music.Kim
