    Default Freecycle treasures

Does anyone else Freecycle? I didn't see an existing thread for Freecycle treasures you may have acquired.

Today I picked up a pull-over jacket, fleece-lined, with Tigger on it, very cute!

    Challenges for 2012:
2012 Grocery Budget Reduction Challenge- $100 a month. (down from $150) Hm, might be too low.
Electric Usage Challenge (doing well, under $70 most months)

Yah, I suck at this money stuff, I know. That's why I'm here.

I love freecycle and use it all the time, mostly for giving stuff away. I clean out alot of homes and have a steady stream of stuff in. Without frecycle I'd drown .

Today we picked up an XBox (not 360) with one controller and two games found on Freecycle. My kids were MUCHO excited about that find.

I am always giving stuff away. The only thing I was chosen to receive was a bag of booklets with coupons inside.

I love it too! I just joined recently. I just got a whole new casual wardrobe! Including 4 long sleeved blouses and 8 tops, and very badly needed 6 pairs of stretchy pants. Awe, my scar is feeling much better!

A family also gave us a car but dh has to do some work for them so not really freecycle, more like bartering, but that's how we found each other.

You know how you score something cheap/free for someone and you give it as a gift but you let them know "it was nothing, really!" Well I did that for my mom. I received a curio from Freecycle that needed reinforced.
    Here it is: curio

I gave it to my mom for Christmas, I wish I could have gotten it to be stronger but I didn't start on the project early enough and I really wanted her to have it for Christmas. (bad procrastination!) Hindsight being 20/20, I would have replaced that visibly broken side piece altogether. Ah well she totally loved it and that I worked on it myself. (moms are cool that way, ha!)

I have used Freecycle to get rid of a lot of stuff and have gotten tons of used jeans to make a braided rug.

I haven't given anything yet or received anything. I'm on the freecycle list and plan on donating stuff come spring. I'm in the midst of decluttering now.
