Alright Im just Stumped.. Cloth Diapers
I am willing to use lightly used cloth diapers, but where in the world would you look locally. Online people are trying to sell Indian Prefolds Used for $1-2 a peice.. which is what they are regularly!! BumGenious 2.0's going for $13 a peice which they were $14.95 on sale. Doesn't make since that retail value should be so much for used diapers.
Anyone got any ideas?
I tried one of the nice consignment stores in town ( also stuck up ) they had some cloth covers for over diapers but no cloth diapers.

They can be hard to find. Post in your local classifieds, some one might have them hanging around not thinking some one else might use them.

I know nothing about diapers, but I have run across websites that show you how to make your own. You might want to Google for them. I think you would be better off making your own or getting someone to sew them for you than trying to find some used.

Maybe look on your local Craigslist? Ebay no longer allows used diapers to be sold. Which sucks, cause I have a huge stash of Motherease OS fitteds, with covers, and wool, and prefolds... *bangs head* I want to try to sell them on Craigslist, but ours isn't very active.

i have never had luck finding diapers locally. I did luck into some once at a garage sale. People were buying them for rags, eek! They didn't look like they had ever been used. I got a dozen for $.25/each but that is the only time I've found them. I finally made my own flannel pre-folds. They were dead easy and have held up well.

~I was gonna suggest Ebay, which is where I bought mine 6 years ago, but now I see they've changed their rules. I just gave away a bunch on Freecycle so maybe post a 'wanted' to your group? Prefolds made from old flannel sheets or t-shirts are easy to make and work great! You will have to buy covers though. I like Motherease Air-flows.~

I second the ideas of posting on freecycle and placing an ad in the classifieds. Aside from that, just put the word out at your church, workplace, or anywhere else you know people, that you are looking for some - you never know what people might have hiding in their attic.

I found some deals- but they're on new ones. I found two deals that might interest you- you can change the sizing to meet what you need:
Just the basics $59.99
12 prefolds
4 covers
1 Bum Genius one size
2 snappis
This is supposed to meet the needs for one day and one night
Try It Kit $30
6 prefolds
2 covers
1 snappi
This is supposed to meet the needs for one day
If you order $74.95, you get free shipping and handling. They also have the cheapest price for new Indian prefolds I've found.

I am having a hard time finding pre-used ones and when I do find them, they're almost the same as new ones!
I agree with what some of the other ladies said. Try posting something on Freecycle- maybe someone has some they don't need anymore.Wife to Air Force DH for 7 years.

Try Craigslist.
When my kids were babies the La Leche League sponsored a huge babies-stuff-only flea market thing once a year, and that's the only place I ever had good luck finding diapers cheap.
I also let it be known I was using cloth and asked for diapers as shower gifts. Good luck!
