Thumbs up My great find on Craigslist!

I posted a want on craigslist over a month ago looking for a used, in decent condition American Girl doll for my youngest (she will be 5 in August) for a reasonable price. I thought I would not get a response but today I got an email from the sweetest lady- her daughter wanted to sell off some of her old toys and she offered her Lindsey American Girl doll for $20! I am keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well and I am able to get my youngest this doll! Now to decide if my daughter will get this doll for her birthday OR Christmas!

Wow! That is a deal. She could have gotten a lot more for it on ebay. We have some American Girl dolls but we are holding on to them. I hope to have grandgirls some day. My older daughter who will be 18 in less than a month still enjoys displaying them on her chest of drawers.

That's a great find, I would give it to your daughter on which ever is first, whether it's her birthday or Christmas.

We did get the doll- she needs a little help though- her hair is a mess and her limbs are loose and her skin has a weird color to it- but it is well worth the $20 we spent! I was researching on how to "fix" her and found out that the year they made the doll they had "issues" with the vinyl and the dolls turn shades of green and gray on a good note since that is a manufacturing issue when you send the doll to the doll hospital they will basically give you a new doll so when it gets closer to her birthday I will send her to the hospital for a good "checkup" and hopefully they will replace her body. When you send them to the hospital they will come home in a box, a hospital gown and a balloon so that will be her birthday present (along with making some "foods" for her doll!)!
