Default Found a great handbag at the Goodwill!

I went to the Goodwill today. I got a pair of Liz Claiborne khaki pants in excellent condition, and a beautiful Brighton handbag, just like this one that someone is selling on ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/GORGEOUS-AUTHENT...QQcmdZViewItem

I paid $1.79 for the bag, and .99 for the khakis. YAY!

What a great find! I am so jealous. You got a great deal!

My mom just bought a new Brighton and it was over $350. They are great bags and last forever.

    Enjoy!!!

Because of my time spent working in retail, at Dillard's and managing a "high end" shoe store, it is easy for me to spot the "good stuff" when I go to the thrift stores. I buy good brands, like Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne. I am fortunate to live in a high income area, even though we are far from high income. We rent a two bedroom apartment, and moved here for the superior public school system. The residents of this area seem to discard "like new", very expensive items. Much to my delight, of course.

That is just like it is here in NJ at the GW that I go to. I have purchased items with the tags still on them or items just used once maybe twice.
I usually go at least once a week but I have been behaving myself lately. You have given me the "bug" to back and check out the things for summer.

1.79 for a brighton bag I am so jealous. I would be so tempted to sell it for a tidy profit. Great hunting.

You're not going to believe this! Too funny! I also went to the GW here yesterday and got a Brighton handbag!!! I LOVE Brighton stuff! It is the kind that is like a large wallet with extra pockets and a long shoulder strap. It is black with silver touches and really cute. It was $2.99. I generally need a bigger purse, but I thought for those special occasions where you need something smaller, it would be perfect! If I don't end up using it, I could always ebay it for much more.

Good for you! I am torn as to whether to keep it or try selling it on ebay. I love nice shoes and bags, but would never spend the money to buy the bag new. I do buy nice shoes, but only when I need them, and then I try to find a killer sale. I did get dd a great, almost new, pair of black, leather boots last week at GW for $2.69 minus my 10% discount (frequent shopper card).
