Default Something I made for the kids...

I hope I can post the picture right
I Spy bag. This is full of 20 items and has a card I made that lists them. It says"Do you spy...." and then lists the items. I'm thinking of selling these on Ebay but need to work out a few kinks first.

I've done something very similiar using a 2 liter plastic pop bottle. I filled it with some very fine sand and put several items in there then taped the list of items to look for to the bottle. Provides hours of entertainment for them.

Your idea looks great! Very nicely done!

When looking these up on the internet I came across a no sew version too (kind of like the soda bottle idea). It was just to fill up a large Ziploc Bag (air pushed out) with rice and the items.

I made this pillow purse size so we can take it when we are in the car or dining out.

I think its a great idea. But I would use sand if you are going to sell them. Kids leave things in the strangest places and over time bugs might get into the rice.

    Very cool!

We used the soda bottle idea for a Christmas present for a niece. Among the odds and ends to hunt for was a $20 bill all rolled up tight and secured with tape. When she found it and dug it out, we helped her secure the lid so she and her younger siblings could safely play with it. It was the biggest hit of all the gifts this past Christmas.

I'm not %100 on this but I don't think that bugs could get in it because there are no openings at all on it. The rice however does make the bag not machine washable.
You can use poly beads in these and most people do but I was just too cheap to shell out the money for it because it was semi-expensive.
Also sand would be much heavier and would cost a bit more to ship.
