Question What are you working on?

I'm currently in a sewing rut, so I still have the same UFO's from the last time I started one of these threads ...Lauren's quilt, and 2 sock monkeys.

I did make a swimsuit coverup for Lauren though. The hood is HUGE and really should be fixed, but she likes it big like that so she can pretend to be a Jedi (Star Wars). It doesn't even stay on her head, but hey whatever floats her boat. :laughinghard:

So what are you working on these days?

I can't sew (yet) but I'd love to be able to make some bags. Doesn't matter what kind, purses, big totes, small change purses, etc. I'm a purse freak and I think it would be cool to have some that will reverse.

Like I said I don't sew, but I'm hoping mil will teach me soon!

I'm taking a week off in August to stay home and sew, sew, sew. I want to get my christmas gifts started! Currently I have 2 quilts that I need to put the binding on. I want to get those done first. I hope to get at least one done this weekend. Here's hoping!

Motivation to sew? I get like that too...it almost seems like I don't sew more than I do. I tend to go in spurts. When I start sewing, I make lots of things. Then something will happen (eg sick child), and I'll get derailed for a while.

Well, I'm going to make a cute, decorative pillow for Julia. I plan on putting a "J" in the middle. I hope she likes it.

~Nothing. Zilch. Nada. I should be working on any of the 8 projects I've started or at least a gift for my mom's b-day this Sunday. I'm so completely unmotivated.~

I just finished an apron that will be a christmas gift and a folded star trivet and I'm plugging away at the ufo's.Somtimes when I need to get motivated to sew I'll tell myself.... I'll just set up the machine...then I'll just get out the project...then I'll just pin this to that and before I know it I'm getting it finished. That's what I did yesterday with the apron took me all day but it's done...now I have to start on the matching potholders...but I'm not in the mood LOL

I'm making preemie clothes - recycling some of the old stuff laying around here. . . the docs are anticipating that my granddaughter will be tiny, even if she manages to go to term.

Also making fabric gift bags - from sale purchased Christmas fabric (I bought it at the after Christmas sales last Dec)
