    Talking The ultimate recycle...

Or "The Life of a Sheet"!

So this is really quite simple, but you know, I am just so cheap...

One year I picked up this queen size top sheet from a garage sale for $2. We have a house with lots of archways and not many doors. Come December I'd hang it over one of the archways to block it off for a sewing room for Santa's workshop. Well, I found another sewing area and the sheet was stored in the closet awhile. We used it on the bed awhile, but not much...there was no bottom mate.

So a couple years ago I used part of it for a mock up of my daughter's wedding dress. Not all of it...just some. That left me with enough for a single bed sheet. So I serged the edge and used it as the top sheet on a single bed for awhile.

Well today I looked at it and decided it really needed to find a new life. I de-cluttered my linen closet and had to toss five pillowcases. Rather than buy new ones, I turned this sheet (or what was left of it!) into four new pillowcases using free directions off the Internet.

I'd say that's getting good use out of something!
