    Question Fat Quarters ?? Help

Calling all sewing people! There are no fat quarters in my town at ALL. I just picked up dd some patterns that call for fat quarters. We have a WM that has a teeny tiny fabric section, and our HL is bigger but no fq's there either.

Neither place even sells the remnants....what's up with that?

I know just enough about sewing to be a danger to myself and fabric. Where do you get fat quarters. I live at least 100 miles from any other store with fabric.

    Help!

Fat quarters are 18 x 22 inches. They are a metre cut in fourths. So you could purchase a metre (yd) of material and have 4 fat quarters. Walmart also sells them now, as does Michael's.

Thanks hsm. I asked our fabric lady at walm*rt today and she said they no longer carried them. I appreciate the measurements. That will help! I appreciate you!

You can buy them online at Joann.com (be cautioned though that I have heard a few complaints in the past about them being shorter than what they should be) or pretty much any online quilt shop (or a shop near you for that matter).

I buy my fabric on Etsy. My Favorite guy does not sell Fat quarters, but this woman does.
