Question What are you working on?

Today I cut out a pair of pj's for Lauren. It's a chicken print (of course LOL). It's jersey, which I don't really like to work with, but hopefully it will go together nicely. I'm hoping to finish them by Saturday when she & Kathryn sleep over my fil's for the night, but you all know how I am with "deadline" sewing (and quilting and knitting and and ) :laughinghard:

So what are you working on?

I am working on a crocheted rag rug of the same leftover fabric as I made my quilt square of the month. Wanted to see how new fabric would work up and also how crocheting would be.

Want to do another quilt square this month too - never ending things to make!!

I am working on a T-shirt blanket for my hubby. I took some old worn out, stained, ones that had small holes in them. I cut them into large squares. Some of the squares had grandkids pictures on them. Others had things like guitars with sayings on them.....I am waiting on one last square... hubby not ready to give it up--it's of woody woodpecker.
After I get that last t-shirt, I'll put a back on it and hubby still has his
t-shirts they will be in a different form. Talk about recycle.

I am working on costumes for Ds's spring program, flowers, bee and bird costumes. (I made a joke to the teachers about the preschoolers being a little young for a play about the birds and the bees...she didn't think it was as funny as I did )

I still have some fabric that I want to get made into some cute tanks, but I got as far as reading through the pattern, but haven't even cut it out yet. I'll get there...probably about the time I'll need to put away the summer clothes!

And I decided yesterday, that I have a really cool long sleeve tie-dye shirt, that I want to make into a cute tank for summer. The sleeves are all chewed up since it is my outdoor work shirt. But the body is in good shape, so it'll make a really cute tank!

Also this weekend, have to turn some of DH's uniform pants into shorts and some of his T-shirts into sleeveless T's. Been trying to get this done for weeks, just haven't had a chance to measure him while he is home. He keeps telling me to just cut and hem the shorts...but I really don't want him running around in Daisy Dukes...so I think measuring is essential!

    LOL about the play, Sarah.

I finished the pj's for Lauren. It's got to be some kind of record

I still can't find my camera, but I'll ask Dave to take a pic with his Blackberry later tonight.

I'm working on making shorts out of a cute pair of embroidered jeans of my granddaughter's. The knees are destroyed, but I'm trying to figure out a way to reuse the embroidery on one pant leg. I'm thinking I could make an interesting pocket with it. They're too cute to throw away.

I stopped at JoAnn fabrics yeaterday and picked up some material to make a blanket for my baby on the way. It should come together pretty quickly. The last thing I made was some breast pads, for nursing. I have so many thing I want to sew for the baby before she gets here in Oct. I need to get busy.

I just finished an apron for an apron challenge (two, actually, I made one for my mom, too).

Next, I'm either going to make my daughter's Tinkerbell dress or another skirt for myself.

I decided I didn't like the sashing for the sampler quilt, so I moved on until DH goes back to work and I can take the car to look for another piece of fabric that does work. I tore a piece of fabric for a wrap skirt/sarong.

~I'm now working on the kids' wardrobes.
This week I made a list of what they have. Now I need to make a list of what they need and post it in my sewing area.
Today I patched a few tiny holes in a yard sale shirt I picked up for ds. If I had my list done I could be checking something off!~
