    Question Doll making...

Anyone ever make cloth dolls? I'm trying my first one. I think I may not have been wise to make a small one... Any tips to help me turn the parts for the body and stuff them?

You're right Peanut - the smaller ones are more challenging to stuff and turn. I've made Raggedy Annes in all sizes from 8" to 36" - sometimes you need to leave the openings larger than suggested - but then it's hard to do the arms and legs. Work it slowly - I sometimes used a spoon - iced tea spoon was perfect. Good luck!!

I agree about the smaller ones. I have 4 bunnies cut out of muslin (remember the bunnies with the dresses back in the 80's ?) I have them cut out but they are just sitting there. I need a kick start to sew them and get them stuffed also.
Stuffing them can be an issue also. I think I will try maui's idea of using a spoon. That sounds like it would be good to do.
