No shortage of quilting projects for me at the very least! I'm in for September.

I'm thinking back - without looking back - and I think that Nuisance and I had offered the idea of sharing this thread in that it's open to whomever wants to suggest ideas for that month. For the September Quilting Club I suggested holiday projects. It sounds as if there is a lot of interest in the same here. We all know that if we want to be ready before Christmas that we need to be working on our gifts now. Since I create for the holidays year round, this always works for me!!!

Mahalo for getting us going FF!!

~I'm still working on my unfinished projects from last month.
Besides the three quilts I'm trying to finish, I really want to finish the ottoman cover. And maybe 2 or 3 fun things from my stitch list.
I just don't know how much time I'll have for sewing now that I've started hs ds. I'm already lagging behind on the basics like cleaning and cooking. Need better routines and more coffee. ~

Ugh...just finished drafting up the plan for the kimono quilt for DD#1 (a little late I know). I need five more meters of fabric to finish it! I checked at the fabric store today and none of it is on sale. It'll be $10/m at least. The sashing - which needs to be an Asian print of some sort - is going to run me $18.50CAD a meter. I'm checking on-line, but last time I ordered stateside shipping brought the cost up to over $16CAD/m for the fabric I ordered. Not good...

I'm going to wait till next weekend - our long weekend - and see if fabric goes on sale by then. Unfortunately it will put me a week behind in sewing, and I can't afford the lost time if I want this all done by the end of the month.

I made dd#1 another top for school today. There's another one cut out that I hope to sew up tomorrow. So far I've been able to make her a school wardrobe without buying any new fabric or patterns. Did have to buy a few spools of thread, though.

Once I'm finished with school clothes, I need to make dd#2 princess dresses. Her birthday is this month and I told her she could have her friend over for a princess day. They are both getting their own new dresses- fabric and pattern is in my stash.

Peanut - is that too much pressure on you - getting it done in a certain time frame? Do you want me to look for fabric here? Just let me know. I'm going to be looking for some for another FVer.

~It looks great Franny! Although, I'm curious why you don't want to work with a lined shirt again? Tell us so we can avoid any problems you may have run into!~

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

The lined shirt made some of the seams too thick to sew through...even with a denim needle. I had to 'walk' my machine over some spots. When you cut off the buttons, you fold that part back when sewing on the zipper. I think I would add a piece rather than folding back.......a little more work but much easier in the long run.
