Paula, that machine retails for about $300. I looked it up on the web and it has some good reviews as a basic workhorse. I'm sure it is a very nice model for someone just starting out.
UPDATE: I spoke with the manager at the store that awarded the machine (and she spoke with her district manager) and they will take it for retail value trade-in toward any other Viking machine.
So I am going over there this weekend to look at the serger/overlocks they have and pick one out. They cost a lot more, so I will have to pay the difference, but it will still be a great deal.
