Lots of productivity here as usual!!
CC95 - you are sewing up a storm!!
FF - also picked up many too many meds.
As for the placemats into totes.....the basic idea is to fold the placemats hamburger style (short end to short end as opposed to hot dog style, long end to long end.
Inside out, sew the sides together - can do it straight or can put a small gusset at the bottom.
Add handles out of whatever works and there you have it.
I will post pictures when I make them. The placemats are a lightweight tapestry type of fabric.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Shirt will be done tomorrow barring any unexpected interruptions...then have a pair of fleece pants on the cutting table....just sweats type. If I am having snow I will be warm!
Would like some little snowmen buttons and Michaels didn't have any a couple weeks ago - may have to hold off for buttons on shirt and make a trip to JA later this week. Need some red flannel anyway.

MM - I can kind of visualize the totes but what do you use for handles? Cool idea!

FF - we know you don't have any yet, but we know that you will find them - if they exist - you'll be there!!
DC - haven't looked around to see what I have for handles - might use two strands of 4-5mm rattail for a fancier look - could even use fabric scraps.
Haven't tried sewing yet - but if I get antsy today, I might see if I can run one up as a sample.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

The shirt is 'basically' done........can't do the buttonholes until I get some buttons. Have some that 'will work' but won't add much to the shirt. Going to JA's to see what they have, later in the week. So.....the shirt sits.............
DC ---it is snowmen!!! You will love the flannel, I know. Have another one to make too.......snowmen!

Well, I made up a sample and then for some reason am having a hard time getting the pictures from my camera. I used grossgrain ribbon for the handles. Let me see what I can do.

Snowman flannel sounds divine! I would wear them all day, every day!

You have certainly had 'snowman weather' DC. Way more than I.
We just got our first 'significant' snow last night - with more to come today. I wear fleece all winter!!
Not sure when I will get the buttons....may have to post a pic of a 'buttonless' shirt.

buttonless shirt would work until you get the buttons FF!!
It's not the posting to FV, it's the actual downloading to my computer - just doesn't make any sense since I downloaded from the same source on Sunday!! Shall not give up - perhaps I'll see if DH's computer is more accepting!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I would love to see it even without the buttons. I really want to try things like shirts and sleep pants after Christmas and expand my sewing skills.

Took some pics today of the 'buttonless' shirt
......haven't downloaded them yet.
Ebay prices for snowmen were stupid; so won't be doing that. So maybe JA tomorrow. If they don't have anything, I guess I will go back to what I already have.......cheaper anyway!!
Unless the roads are good enough - then might try our Hancocks. JA is close and handy - Hancocks = not so much.
MM.....do you think that you could get them sent to me? - somehow? - don't know how you would do it if they won't download - but is there a way? Just wondering if I could somehow help with the pics.
