    www.knittinghelp.com is my favorite.

    If you have trouble learning from someone else or don't have anyone to teach you, than use a book. I learned to crochet from a library book. Try several as they all may be a little different.

    I would get a medium color worsted weight cheap yarn, size 7 or 8 US needles and just go for it. You will make mistakes but you will learn. You will also need a crochet hook if you drop stitches.

    Try youtube also.

    I went to the store and looked around. I saw the knifty knitter and actually started another post about that. I am determined to learn how to knit. I want to make some scarves!!
