    Default How much yardage?

I'm going to remove the doors off our kitchen cupboards and replace them with simple curtains. I also plan to skirt the sink.

The fabric is 48'' across. How do I measure the openings to know how many yards to purchase?

    Thanks

Usually, for curtains, you measure your width and double it for *gathering* on the rod.

That's what I was going to say! Depends on how full you want them. Sometimes I've done 2 1/2 times the width. You will also need to take into consideration the how much of a hem you are going to put on them.

Sounds cute, I can't wait to see the pictures!

I don't know if this makes any difference or not, but I planned on using oil cloth. I found a great place to buy high quality oil cloth.
