Cute baby blanket - easy to make.
I know we have a lot of new moms and grandmas here and wanted you to see what I thought was a darling baby blanket.
It is in the April 2010 Issue of Quilter's World. It wouldn't be hard to make, even for non quilters! If you can sew a straight seam, it is pretty straight sewing. I just thought it was so cute with the foot prints on it.
What a neat keepsake for the mother ---or to pass on later. Or - if the mother sews - something neat for the grandparents.

That is just adorable! I wish I would have one of those made for when Luke was born. I wonder if it would look just as cute with his big clunky feet now?
oh well, will have to wait for grandkids!

They have SUCH cute 'keepsakes' now.
DC - Maybe you could make one and just put ONE footprint right in the middle!!
A good conversation piece!
The issue of this mag. was a neat one.........had a photo quilt, also one made with vintage hankies, one neat colorful one (my favorite, of course!) just one of their better issues, I thought.

Grab the mag. and check it out.
They put half the hankie at the top of a square ---to make it look like an envelope. The hankie is the flap. You have to SEE it.
This is the best 'variety' of quilts, in a mag., that I have seen in a LONG time! All kinds of things worked with.......a tote, a burp rag and napkin for baby------plus other things that I mentioned.
This mag. will only be on the newsstands for about another month, I think. Then the next one comes out..........it must have been out for awhile.........I had just missed it. I TRY NOT TO LOOK!!
