Thanks for getting us started..........we sure miss VL!!

Do you have a pattern for the braided rug...DC??? How is it made? I want to see a pattern for one of those crocheted rugs...........maybe will check online.

I need some hobbies ----for the summer, where I can sit in the chair and do them.........not great about sitting down to my sewing machine when I come in tired from outside.....but like to be doing something while sitting............BESIDES EATING!!

I am the same way FF. I have a very hard time just sitting and not doing anything. I just looked on YouTube for the easy braided rug. Doesn't look too difficult actually. She sewed it together in a way I had never seen before but it looked easy. I don't have the link, I will have to search for it again. I remember I needed 2" strips of material. She didn't sew the strips together instead she tied them. It looked quite neat. I want to make my friend an afghan for Christmas so I plan in doing that when I am sitting this summer unless it gets too hot outside. That can be uncomfortable.

~I've made a braided rug, DC. It was laced together between the braids. Very easy and fast to do! I have a tool for it that I bought at the thrift store. It's like a thick metal nail file(with an eye for your carpet thread)with a blunt tip.
    My 4 things:
    1. buy velcro for diapers
    2. serge 20 doublers
    3.fix ds's pants
4.reprint directions to finish tote bags(lost them somewhere)

Yes nuisance that is how she did it too. Thanks! I don't have that tool but DH has something in the shop that is similar to that which I am going to use.
