Why did I wait so long? -- sewing machine fixed
So I have been without my sewing machine for several months now.
It has been hard. I want to fix something or make something and think "oops can't" Only fellow sewers could understand the feeling.
The base plate had broke ( also part of the bobbin maker) so the machine wouldn't work without it. Plus my last bobbin broke also.
Last year I had taken it into a machine shop to have it cleaned and they kept it for weeks (That was a long time at that time for me to be without it) and they didn't have to order anything It cost a hundred or so to clean. So I was picturing it there forever with ordering and very pricey too. I had looked for the plates on line myself.
So I was hesitate to get it fixed.
Today I was in there for something else. And casually asked. I must have talked to the right guy this time. He had me run home and get my machine. He had the part ( and the bobbins) fixed the thing plus a bit extra in 10 mins. plate, time, other extra fixes, a three new bobbins $30.
She is working again!!
I can't imagine why I waited so long. You can bet I going to remember that man's name."Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

imagine, Good for you.
My machine had a major problem with the bobbin made a sound like it was jumping and the bobbin thread on the back would make large loops not holding to the fabric. So I took it in and the guy said he could fix it this was like five years ago he kept for a week price tag $ 29.00 and said it works fine.I took my machine home and it did work for 2 times of sewing. So after that my machine just sat.And gathered dust. Then this summer I went to a yard sale and sitting new in box was my machine and she had $10.00 on it I bought it and it has been perfect.I have sewed so many thing from curtains to scrapbook pages.
Have fun with creating new things for your home family and friends.

Little Miss has been waiting impatiently to make some doll clothes. Specifically some Samantha American Girl doll clothes. So that is on the plan for today I think.
We are planning on using some of her outgrown dresses to make the Samantha clothes. Have a nice pink cotton dress with a white pinafore style chest with embroidery. It should make a nice pinafore dress for Samantha."Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

I finished the American girl dress from Little Miss's outgrown dress that I mentioned in the above post.
I took pictures this time and if I can figure how to get them to the computer and if I can figure how to post them, I will show you all the doll dress.
Little Miss loves it. She tells me her doll does too."Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS
