Maybe you've already seen this pattern, but I've made a LOT of these purses and I just love them.

I can't post the direct link, I'm a newbie, but just google "choose your own adventure bag" and you'll find it.

Print out this pattern and save it, because once your friends see you wearing this purse they will want one too! It is especially rewarding to choose fabric with your friend at the thrift store "mumy" section and then sew them up this purse with their chosen fabric and hardware. After a couple tries, it doesn't take long either! Great gifts for ladies old and young.

Mine don't have the waterproof liner, or imbedded pockets or the pockets on the strap, they are instead simple and designed primarily for keeping my personals on my while I'm riding my motorcycle. I use old jacket zippers and clips/straps from backpacks and riding gear.

If you can sew a skirt, you can sew this bag. It's that easy and that durable!

~I was looking for something like this a month or so ago for a short trip diaper bag. I think they'd get more hits if they just called it a messenger bag. :/
I use something like this for hiking. Gotta have my chapstick, hankie, camera and snack on the trail!
