agree - that is interesting!! Forget how easy we really have it - no need to knit or sew all our clothing.
Polly, what made you go looking for a site like that - or did you just chance upon it?Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Thanks polly! I have a true love for vintage fashions, and if I ever get back up yo my dear NYC, I plan to hit some of the boutiques up there. Of course it'll just be to browse, but still, I love looking.
If anyone caught the May 2010 Goodhousekeeping magazine, you might remember the article devoted to styles of (surprisingly) mostly the 50's, that are still considered quite vogue today. Of course we see the trends of the late 60s and 70's out there, but the so called "classic styles" were from the 50s, and these are the ones we'll probably still see as being wearable fashion for another 50 years. I love the femininity of it. In fact, I now wear more skirts than I do pants and shorts. It is a matter of necessity right now, because of my leg having health issues, but the more I wear skirts, the more I like what I'm wearing. And it's not just me, I'm seeing more and more women wearing them on a casual basis too. I'm just glad they're making skirts with ALOT more style lately!
So, just out of curiosity, if you had to pick an era of fashion to fill your closet, which era would it be? For myself, I LOVE alot of the flirty dresses of the 50s, but of course I'm not going to wear a dress like that running up to the supermarket. But I am also a jacket lover, and I'm THRILLED to see the "military" styling of the way they're designing them this year! This is one I'd "kill" for..lol!>>> Shoes, handbags, apparel and jewelry: Your insider's guide to shoes, apparel, handbags and more | Piperlime
Usually Target's carries some pretty cute jackets. I need to get up there and hopefully use some of my GCs to nab a couple.
But do tell, as a woman, what era SHOULD you have been born in? ....Fashion-wise that is.
Thanks for the link Polly. I enjoyed looking around.
