I always spill. I've ruined more clothes! Friend of mine introduced me to Oxyclean though, and I soak food stains out about once a week now. (I save em up for an Oxy soak, along with the tablecloth)
The first time I tried it, I rescued a shirt that was about to hit the "paint clothes" bag. It had really OLD food stains plus some newer spaghetti stains on.
My other help is I wear aprons with a bib attached and if it's a nice messy dinner like spaghetti, I wear it to dinner, just never bother taking it off even.
My dd is so tidy and neat. At 8 weeks I stopped putting a bib on her and she is just one of those teflon girls that never seem to mess up. She turns 20 on Dec 28th and is still immaculate looking.
I couldn't manage it myself, so I gave birth to one who could!
