Default any ideas of how to fix?

My DD has a pair of jeans that she loves to wear. She has worn them so much that the seat of them has worn through. I offered to try to fix them for her but need help determining the best way to do it. There is a worn spot just to the right of the left seat cheek. I thought about putting fancy patches on, but thought it would look silly. any ideas?

Has the worn spot turned shredded into a hole yet or is it just worn thin like turning see though?

Is the hole on a part of the seat closer to the crotch of the jeans or more front stage near the pocket or on the tush area?

For the worn thin in the more unseen part of the pants I get an iron on patch and iron it on on the inside. That strengthens the material and tends to prevent a tear

LOL! I used to put fancy patches on mine when I was in college (couldn't afford new jeans). I figured if I was going to have patches it would have to be something worth looking at.

Anyway, they wear out pretty quickly, because that is the spot that is getting the most wear. I had to replace mine frequently, every couple of months or so, because every time I sat down it got rubbed. But for a quick fix it was great, and I got comments from boys.

What does DD think about having a patch on her behind for people to look at?

DD loves the jeans, so she would be okay with a patch. The jeans are worn thin, not torn, and it is just below the pockets smack dab on the tush. She has had these jeans for about 4 years and claims they are her favorite pair.
