What are you sewing lately?
I just looked at the patterns I have and the material, and this weekend I'm cutting out a pattern for a blouse for dd. I've also sewing up pj's for Christmas gifts.
I really want to learn how to put a collar in right, so with doing the blouse, I should get some practise.
Are you sewing lately?

I am sewing a skirt right now. I just need to hem one short edge, and sew on some buttons. I didn't use a pattern though so I am afraid this might not turn out looking so nice.
I'm hoping to start a sewing class this winter so I can get good at it.

Well, I haven't been sewing lately unless you count the quilt blocks.

But I have purchased a pattern and some material for a swing coat and hat that I plan on making real soon!

Believe it or not...I bought a pattern yesterday. Me, the Village sewing misfit bought a pattern. Tis true. I bought a pattern to make aprons. Who will be the lucky recipient of a "sewn" apron from me in the next apron swap??!?
Don't mean to scare anyone but well, oh boy...lolol

I am the same way Darlene. I need an apron and want to make one too, but I need to find a pattern first. I need one of the simplest patterns though, and the free one I found online was a bit confusingOriginally posted by Darlene

I bought one off ebay last year! I am looking forward to making one for each day! Plus gifts!

I'm sewing hems on Pierre's working pants...not as much as much fun as sewing something special like an apron or a nice coat!

I am inspired so I think I will pick up some fabric at work tomorrow and put together an apron or two for myself I really need to be wearing one when I cook and clean because I like to wear mine that I work in.
