    Default Started my apron today, and more

    I've been holding out for dh to set up my sewing/craft area I've been pestering him about for a couple of years. He's found a huge desk at the Goodwill for $20 that he wanted to transform into a sewing machine cabinet, but it won't work. I convinced him I dould just keep the machine on the desk and move it if I needed to.

    I also discovered he's planning on buying me a new machine for our anniversary. I guess he sees how frustrated I get with this one. He found a Janome 4618LE used for $373.43 including tax. That sounds like a lot to me. I think I like this one.

    Anyway, I got everything all ironed, cut out and marked today. Hopefull I can put the apron together this weekend!

    Yay A sewing area! I know nothing about Janome machine's but I have the one that you linked too and I LOVE it! It is so quiet and sews so nice and even. I have sewed through layers of corduroy and denim and also it applique's like a dream. And the thread cartridge system is nice also.

    I broke 3 needles making ds's Christmas stocking! I want to do applique SO bad! You mean I could applique those corduroy letters on that denim stocking? That would be too cool!

    Oh! The apron's almost done! I just have the ties to put on. Once I got started, I just couldn't stop!
