    Exclamation Sewing Club Contest! *Edited*

I have deleted the first post for this contest and we are starting again!

    Sewing Club Contest

Want to have some fun and learn some new things about sewing? Well then put on your thinking caps and join us in our first Sewing Club Contest! The contest is open to all Sewing Club members and will run from today Feb. 23rd through March 5th.

Each day I will post a word associated with sewing. It may be a type of fabric, a term used in sewing or a notion etc. The thing is, you won’t know when I’m going to post the word for the day, it may be at 4am or 2pm you never know! Anything is possible!

You will have to unscramble the word and give a short description of what that word means or does and where and when you would use it in sewing.

For instance the word for the day is collar . Your answer would look something like this:

    Collar

A decorative addition to the neckline of a dress or blouse.

The first person to get the correct answer will receive 1 point but very other day (the even numbered days) the person with the correct answer will receive 2 points.

1st Prize winner will receive an apron , a home décor pattern and a sewing notion.

2nd Prize winner will receive a tote bag and a home décor pattern.

3rd Prize winner will receive a home décor pattern.

Have fun everyone and Good Luck! Today's word is oknscgmi

    Congratulations Darlene!!

You ladies are fast, I am going to have to make them harder.

For anyone that isn't familiar or doesn't know what smocking is here is a picture.

    Thanks
I remember when Nicole was a baby & she wore this Polly Flinders dress, it had such beautiful smocking on it.

It really adds so much to an outfit. Just beautiful.Have you ever done any smocking Dee?

No I haven't. It's one of those things I never got around to learning. Maybe if I had had a little girl of my own I would have.

    WTG Darlene!

They have a smocking class here at my local quilt store. I never have had the time to take it. Hmm...now that hubby is back maybe I should make the time.
