Woo hoo!!! Look what I made!!
Eileen (six freds) came over today and helped me learn how to make my first piece of clothing.
I made 2 pairs, one for Kathryn, and one for Lauren.
Thanks so much for helping me Eileen. You really have no idea how happy this makes me to be able to sew for my kids

Thanks Pat! My girls love boyish stuff LOL
Next time I'll use black thread--I was just too lazy to change the bobbin this time, and I knew that the pants will just be worn around the house as they are my first ones

They are adorable!!! I love the material.
Great job Chelle and Eileen deserves brownie points for being such a special friend and helping you out!
When my boys were little my mom used to find the most fun and wild prints she could and make them lots of shorts and those "muscle pants" that were all the rage about 10 years ago. They loved them and we still see those short around town since we have handed them down to other families here over the years!

Thanks everyone.
I'm currently working on a pair of shorts for Lauren.
I want to learn tshirts next as I don't have any plain shirts for them to wear with all these funky shorts and pants

You did a very good job Michelle!
I love the print on the fabric! I used to make clothes for my boys when they were todlers... I should post some old pictures some time to show you.
Yes, sewing is so much fun, especially for our kids.
