Talking I just found my original receipt for my sewing machine!

It is dated August 19, 1987!!!

So I haven't had this one as long as I thought, only 17 years!

Dee, we must have all bought machines that year. I got my very first Husqvarna that year. I've upgraded twice since then.

Guess that means your sewing machine is just a teenager.

Oh Dee, a teenage sewing machine!

LOL Pat, does this mean it's entitled to act up sometimes?

Mine is 20 going on 21 this summer, and behaving nicely!

I still use my mom's Dressmaker - a gift from my dad in 1964. It goes forward and backward and does buttonholes beautifully, which is pretty much all I need it to do - feels like it weighs about a ton when I have to lift it though!

cool. mine is around 3 years old, maybe four.
My previous one started smoking, burned out the motor, got this one as a replacement. That was the second motor i had killed off.
