    Talking I HATE mini blinds!

I am cleaning the bedroom today and scrubbing mini blinds,

Well, no more for me!! I just went to JoAnn's and got enough fabric for curtains!

I'm off to go measure, cut and wash my fabric!

    Oh, to cover 5 windows = $32.64! (I had a coupon)

I thought it was me Debbie. No matter how many times (3) that I scrubbed and rinsed them, they are still dirty!! What is up with these things?

I'll put them back up, but just until my curtains are done.

I hate mini blinds too. The kids have destroyed several sets.

I hate them too, but I don't really like shades either. I really need something for privacy too since we're so close to the other houses in our neighborhood.

Chelle, have you thought about Roman Blinds? I just may make some when I get to the living room. http://www.simplyfurnishings.com/pro...nds/blinds.htm

We have them on 26 windows ( ) in this house for the same reason, privacy. But no more, I'm getting rid of them little by little this time.

Oh, my fabric is all cut and in the washer!

I decided to go with just bleached muslin. Nice and bright and make tie backs to match the duvet cover. When I change the bedding, I can make different tie backs to match that! We have very large and dark bedroom furniture, so hopefully this will really brighten it up.

I also have enough fabric left over (I bought a 25 yard bolt) to use in the bathroom when I get to that room!

I agree, they are a bugger to clean. We have them in all of our windows but I would love to get rid of them too.
