It's adorable I have a pattern for a top similar to that (but with regular short sleeves, since I don't like how cap sleeves look on my arms). I bet I could add one of my skirt patterns to it and morph it into a dress.

I can't wait to see pictures of yours. What kind of fabric are you going to use and what color?

Well - I have a black cotton lycra blend and I want to use a houndstooth trim and belt. What do you think?? I think it will deceive the eye re: the tummy situation!!

I think the trim as in bias would look good and deceive the eye. hard to say with the belt. if it would lay nice in the houndstooth. is it a dark based houndstooth or a loud color? I'm sure you can find some great pleate tips on line. I have before. And it's not a lot of pleate (nice and wide) anyway! ~K

I have a black and white houndstooth in cotton lycra blend. I would also like to make this in pink with black when I get skinnier!!

I love the pic of the dress. My dd has a new lycra skirt is the black and pink and I really like the combination. Please post a pic of yours when you get it made. It will be a great Spring dress.

Cute, cute dress. Maybe I ought to try something like this instead of the mumu things I usually wear?

That dress is cute. I used to be able to wear things like that but haven't worn any dress that would show my knees in years. Also, I'm afraid the material that dress is made of would show all my buldges.
