Skirt S & S
Here is a skirt I made for our upcoming trip to FL. This was supposed to be a really easy one to make, but instead I ran into all sorts of stupid, little problems. First I ran out of fabric and had to join two pieces to make the back, so there's a seam down the back that shouldn't be there (no biggie, I guess no one would really know unless I told them)
I sewed the elastic casing to the wrong side, so the wrong side of the fabric is showing. I had had enough by the time I made this error and decided to leave it as is since I always wear tops covering my waist/stomach area. Then I ran out of bobbin thread as I was sewing, and I didn't know it until I was done a seam
When threading the elastic, I lost the end in the middle of the casing when I went to straighten it in the casing.
It was a comedy of errors actually. I am hoping to get another skirt cut tonight, and I will sew it up tomorrow.
Anyway, the fabric was free from a challenge I won on another site, so this is a very frugal skirt

Its cute!! and it looks much smaller than the size you are always on about!! perhaps you are much smaller than you think - Girlee!!
I can see it with a little 3/4 sleeve top in the same color and a pair of killer tan thick strapped sandles with a little chunky heel and a great little ankle bracelet!!

I think it's pretty!! Good job!
LOL I understand the comedy of errors issue. The other day when I was sewing the fitted sheet, I had sewn two mitered edges correctly, and two incorrectly, so i had one end that looked right with seams on the inside, and the other end had seams on the outside of the sheet. I had my seam ripper in reach...if i didn't I woulda probably left it, lol.~~ Missy ~~

I'm hoping to make a dark pink short sleeve T to go with it (to draw out the pink in the skirt)--it's one of "my" colors.

I love the fabric. It's a great cut and you did a wonderful job. I know the comedy of errors because every sewing project I've done is like that. lol
